Explainer: The Grupo Martes’ Tapetes exhibition has been presented at several occasions. The artists that participate in this project re-imagines the tapete (rug), which is commonly related to an unfavorable position, to make a more familiar and accessible art. Grupo Martes (Tuesday Group) is a woman’s art collective that started to gather in 1993, on Tuesdays, to discuss their discipline potential and the balance between their profession and their personal life.
